About Mind Body Health & Politics
“The mission of Mind Body Health & Politics is to expand consciousness, stimulate thought, enhance mental and physical health, and encourage community.” — Dr. Richard L. Miller
Dr. Richard Louis Miller is an American Clinical Psychologist, Founder of Wilbur Hot Springs Health Sanctuary, repeat author, and broadcaster who hosts the Mind Body Health & Politics talk radio program from Mendocino County, California. Dr. Miller was also Founder and chief clinician of the nationally acclaimed, pioneering, Cokenders Alcohol and Drug Program, and the Covid Response Network, a model, community-based, non-profit organization sparing injury and saving lives on California’s north coast.
The Mind Body Health & Politics broadcast is known for its wide-ranging discussions on political issues and health. The program’s format includes guest interviews with prominent national authorities, scientists, best-selling authors, and listener call-ins. The programs offer a forum and soundboard for listeners to interact with the show and its guests.
In 2017, Dr. Miller published the book Psychedelic Medicine, based on his radio interviews with the most acclaimed experts on the subject.

His follow up book, Psychedelic Wisdom, (2022) contains over 1,500 years of stories of tribal elders’ experiences with psychedelics.
Dr. Miller also co-authored/edited Integral Psychedelic Therapy: The Non-Ordinary Art of Psychospiritual Healing (2023), a groundbreaking, evidence-based collection that explores how psychedelic medicine can be incorporated into contemporary psychotherapy.
His most recent book, Freeing Sexuality, shares his interviews with 20 experts, including clinical psychologist Lonnie Barbach, sex therapist Stella Resnick, sexual freedom advocate Janet Hardy, consent educator Laura McGuire, and Norma Jean Almadovar, former LA policewoman and current president of the prostitutes’ union COYOTE.
Dr. Miller's forthcoming book, Psychedelic Medicine at the End of Life: Dying without Fear, is set to be released on November 5, 2024.
