Healing from the Mind-Virus, "Wetiko"

Paul Levy's incredible journey of Awakening in the Dream

Dear Listeners,

Welcome to Psychedelic Wisdom – a production of Mind Body Health & Politics. This publication features insights gleaned from thousands of psychedelic experiences of healing, creativity, connection, and consciousness expansion (not all of which involve mind-altering substances, by the way). I invite you to become a monthly subscriber or, if your budget allows it, a founding member.

As a member of our tribe, your financial support will help sustain my team as we continue to provide bold, unabashed interviews on topics that require careful handling, such as the collective psychosis we are currently suffering from in this country and around the world. In this installment, Paul Levy offers his unique perspective on how we can heal as a society, from what he considers to be a mind-virus – the Algonquin concept of “Wetiko” – by "Awakening in the Dream.” While we do not explicitly discuss psychedelics in this interview, Paul takes us deep into the realm of altered states, as well as quantum physics, spirituality, and group psychology.

Stay tuned in, and thank you for listening and/or reading.

Wishing you Golden Light,

Dr. Richard L. Miller

Awakening in the Dream- Paul Levy
Listen now (61 min) | We're all dreaming up together, and if we don't recognize that, we're fated to destroy ourselves. That's what my work is about. That's what I'm continually trying to get across to people. Dr. Richard: Welcome to Mind Body Health & Politics. I'm your host, Dr. Richard Louis Miller. The mission of Mind Body Health & Politics is to enhance physical and mental well-being and encourage community. When I say community, I mean that human beings are basically friendly tribal animals. When we live together in small enough groups, where all of us can recognize each other – either by face, or by name – we cooperate, and we collaborate, but only when there is that amount of contact. And so, contact is essential.

We're living in a time right now – just coming out of a pandemic, hopefully – which created a great deal more isolation. I just read a scientific article in Nature on the effects of remote working. It does not look good, folks. It looks like remote working is leading to more isolation and alienation, and less collaboration and cooperation. Basically, what the scientists are telling us is we need to be around each other in order to cooperate and collaborate. When we all go into our own little caves, which we were forced to do by the pandemic, things don't go as well. So, let's give that some consideration going forward.

Enough of that. Now on to our interview with Paul Levy, founder of the Awaken in the Dream Community and author of Wetiko: Healing the Mind-Virus That Plagues Our World.
