Fascinating account of the rise and fall of marijuana culture in Mendocino.

One correction though regarding the safety of cannabis vapes. The fact that they use 80-90% THC doesn't mean they're more dangerous. Most vapes are designed so as to deliver only modest amounts of THC per puff, comparable to a joint. Many users report they can't get as high from a vape as from a joint, though there are also so-called "dab" devices designed specifically to deliver potent blasts of pure THC. More importantly, vapes eliminate 90%+ of the respiratory toxins delivered when smoking a joint. (Propylene glycol is no longer used as a diluent in commercial cannabis vapes; most use pure cannabis oil supplemented with natural terpenes). See Cal NORML's pilot study: Vape pens less harmful than joints" lhttps://www.canorml.org/vapepenslessharmfulthanjoints/

I can't wait to read Charlie's book though.
